Bodice is made from Builders silicon being pushed into a mold and allowed to set. This gave a transparent cracked ice effect and a bodice that is flexible. The skirt is made from three full circles of white satin. This was a lot of fabric and was starting to get very heavy – so I stopped at three circles! The work was created after spending days using builders bog during the prep process getting ready to paint our house – It was during this time I started to think about how other building materials could be used and transformed into a garment that was the complete opposite to the oversized grotty T shirt and track pants I was currently wearing in the prepping of the house!
